SF Saiyuki Starzinger (1978) - Episodes 01-02

This is a project I've been wanting to work on for a while. A group called ILA Fansubs subtitled the first 12 episodes a few years ago before they disbanded. I had originally planned to pick up the series where they left off, but a lot of their episodes were subtitled using VHS sources, and I ended up deciding to remaster those episodes so that people can watch high quality encodes of the series from the beginning.

Big thanks go out to Gou no Ken for providing the high quality raw sources, as well as quality checking and other general help in getting this project off the ground.

  2. I wasn't expecting this.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't this one of the five series that made up the "Force Five" series?

    I also know this was dubbed in Spanish as "El Galáctico" (The Galactic), but I haven't seen the Spanish dub yet.

    1. "El galactico" series has only the 24 first episodes. (The series have 73 episodes). We, (spanish people), never seen the full series. You can search the spanish dub in MCanime.

  4. I have the old ILA version of Starzinger and yes, the video source was VHS and not too good. I am very happy to get the series with a higher video quality. Thanks again Nanto!

  7. Please, pleace, please... can you create a torrent of this complete series, but without stuck subtitles, but floating subtitles, to be able to edit the Spanish? Thank you

    I'm the guy who has the Raw's to this series, and has provided them, however VOL.6 of this series is the missing piece to having all the the Raw material. Have found a site that states that they have that DVD in stock.

    It will however cost 122.49 US Dollars, that's quite a large sum for me alone to pay directly.
    So I'm wondering if anyone could be generous and give a donation so the group has all the
    material needed. If you would like to be part of this. Then please send me an email. Will
    perhaps make it on my own but it would be of great help if you guys would help.
