Gatchaman F (1979) episodes 01-07

Surprise! Subtitled by Vortex, encoded by me. I had to use a Laserdisc source for these, so if you happen to have Gatchaman Fighter sourced from the DVD release, please contact me in the comments section.

While it's true that just about 100.0% of Gatchaman fans agree that this was the weakest of the three series, there's still plenty of Tatsunoko action and drama to enjoy. And trust me, the show gets a lot better near the end. Stick around for the mind-blowing final episode, it's one of my all-time favorite anime series endings (along with Orguss, Votoms and Ideon).

The torrent is here.

Direct downloads are here:
Episode 1   Episode 2   Episode 3   Episode 4   Episode 5   Episode 6   Episode 7

  1. !!!! Just when I thought it couldn't get any better!
I've always wanted to see this series (even if it is the weakest of the three).
"Eagle Riders" didn't play on any local stations when I was a kid, so this will be a first time for me.

    Thanks, Nanto!!!! (and Vortex)

  2. I ask this here since this blog is the best place I know for the subbing of the old school shows that I like, but Nanto, would you know anyone who would be interested in this contest?

It looks like a great chance to fansub oldschool anime legally, in a way that helps the company, and with actual prices too. Plus, the most important part: "If this is a success, then there are other classic Tezuka series like Princess Knight or Ashita no Joe or Dororo that we might be able to bring to everyone as well!"

It's a pretty old contest that no one has partaken in so far. Now that we know Mushi Production won't be part of the upcoming Anime Sols streaming site, my interest for that old contest has come back.

  3. Afraid I don't know anyone who has the time or resources to participate in that, but I hope someone does. I'd love to see Wonder Beat S and other Tezuka shows legally available on Crunchyroll.
