Dororo (1969) - Episodes 01-04

Since I never got around to making a torrent for episode three, and I also forgot to post any of these episodes on Animesuki, I figured I'd just post a batch of the first four episodes subtitled in this joint project with Hi no Tori Fansubs. If you have already downloaded any of these episodes, you can unselelect them in your torrent client.

Episode four is really cool, and a major series plot point is revealed after Hyakkimaru's battle with the Yokai Bandai.

The batch torrent is here.

  2. Great! Dororo is truly special, it's probably my favorite of the series you work on; even better than Neo Human Casshan which is saying a lot! Thanks for sharing.

  3. Sweet indeed. As soon as I saw this, I had to stop everything I was doing, grab the torrent, try to pass the time while the download is going, watch the last few seconds of the download go by and then immediately begin the episode on my big TV and turn off the lights.

I remembered perfectly well where episode 3 finished, probably from having watched the episodes many times over, and was surprised to see it cut to a spooky introduction to the village. And then before we get back to where we were, that great opening starts. Gets me pumped every time to see it after an episode intro.

Watching this show, with its horror and suspense, black and white, calculated pacing, and untouched Tezuka old-school designs, is really quite an experience for me.

    Thank you Nanto!

  5. Hello! So what about a possibility of translation the Dororo series further into another languages? I'd like to provide a Russian translation, but the problem is that the English subtitles are currently hard-coded into the video, so viewing the movie with two different subtitle streams simultaneously is kind of problematic. Are there any plans of producing the 'soft-coded' subtitles (like the usual subtitles streams in mkv container)?
    Thanks!

  6. Would donating help new episodes come along faster?
I love old action style anime. It's like watching old Disney cartoons but better.

  9. Thank you!
As others mentionned before, I may also contribute with donation for faster releases of Dororo, but I have absolutly no idea of how much it is for one episode. Could you enlight us on this, or maybe post one article explaining a bit how this work?
