Mach GoGoGo! (1967) - Episode 06

Here's part two of "Secret of the Classic Car", a joint project with Luurah Productions.

The torrent is here. Direct download link is here.

Some really good episodes of Mach GoGoGo are in the works for the near future, including "Challenge of the Mammoth Car" and the three part epic "Demonic Acrobat Race." Stay tuned!

I've also re-posted a lot of dead links recently, including Gatchaman II (all 52 episodes!) and Gatchaman F. Unfortunately the latter project is still stalled while Vortex looks for a translator.

If there's one of my subtitled shows with dead links that you can't obtain via torrents, feel free to ask and I will get to it when I can. Gorg, Jeeg and Sabu & Ichi are currently being revised, so I won't be re-posting those until the revisions are complete.

    1. Usually the answer to this kind of question is "they'll be done if and when I have time." But I actually have good news in this case. Episodes of both Dororo and GeGeGe no Kitaro (the first series) are in the final checking stages, either or both of them might be released in less than a week.

    2. Given the gap between now and the last subbed ep of Dororo, it was definitely a legitimate question to ask.

How's the 2nd Kitarou series subbing going, out of curiosity?

    3. More episodes of the 2nd series of GeGeGe no Kitaro will be released at some point this year.

  4. Demonic Acrobat Race!
    How can such things be?
The 21st century is certainly taking a turn for the better in my opinion.

Man that's a shame. All of the 70s Gatchaman animes are badass.

There must be someone out there willing to step up and help sub it.

  7. have you had the chance to view Sentai Filmwork's Casshan release? all I have to say about it --- "Flender" ...

    1. Differences in romanization don't usually bother me. The fact that I can buy a complete set of Casshan with English subtitles for under fifty bucks (rather than spend hundreds of dollars for translations and countless hours of my time subtitling them) is good enough for me.

Fan subtitles will always be better than professional releases, just because of the amount of time that us nerds sink into each episode. If Sentai Filmworks or Discotek wanted to hire me as a consultant, I'd be happy to improve their product for pennies an hour.

I suffered through the era of dubbed anime and even a sloppy, half-assed subtitle is better than dubs in my opinion.

    2. I second That Totally Nanto! Fans Subtitles are the Best! Went through that Era myself with the Bad Dubbing!

  8. I didn't say the video quality was bad. Just that they fucked up with FLENDER. That reminds me of some really bad "Engrish" subs from bootleg Hong Kong releases.

    1. There are lots of different ways names can be Romanized: I like Casshan but lots of people prefer Casshern.

Check out Michelle and Kevin's site of anime cels they collect: http://www.anime-cel.com/ourstuff/casshan.htm

They're huge Tatsunoko fans, and they refer to the dog as Flender on their site. I don't consider it a HK bootleg style fuckup, just valid difference of opinion. I say tomayto, they say tomahto, let's call the whole thing off.

    1. Of course that was a deliberate decision to avoid getting into trouble with the estate of the author of the Arsene Lupin books.

And if you listen to that wacky-ass opening theme song from the later episodes of the first TV series, it really does sound like RRRRRRupan, Rupan, Rupan...AHHHHHH!

  10. The file download links for several of the Mach GoGoGo episodes are dead. Episodes 1, 2 and 43 are very tough to find. I can't wait to see the rest! Thanks so much for your hard work on this!
